What should I bring to the pool?
Bring a change of clothes, a towel and your mask and snorkle. If you have purchased your boots and fins, this is a great opportunity to get comfortable with using them in the water.
How do I get to Crystal Lake?
Written directions with a map and meeting times will be provided at your Quick Review session or when you stop by the shop to sign up for a specialty training course.
What should I bring to the lake?
Please bring your mask, fins, snorkle, wetsuit, towel, sunscreen, water and your lunch.
We will have your BCD, tanks and weights unless we have otherwise coordinated with you.
You may also want to bring a chair and something for shade and a beach towel, etc. for standing on when changing back into dry clothes as you will be on grass.
When should I do a refresher?
A scuba refresher is recommended any time a diver has spent more than 12 months on a surface interval.
How deep can I dive?
As an Open Water diver, you are certified to dive up to 60 feet, under ideal conditions. Junior Open Water divers age 10 and 11 are limited to 40 feet with a parent, guardian or dive professional.
Advanced Open Water divers are able to dive to 100 feet. Junior Advanced Open Water divers ages 12, 13 and 14 are able to dive to 70 feet with a parent, guardian or dive professional.
Deep Diver specialty certification trains divers for dives up to the maximum recreational limit of 130 feet.
