eLearning with PADI
Open Water Certification Dives
eLearning is your source for the Knowledge Development. It is very interactive and engaging. There are several short videos, some reading and quizzes to reinforce your learning.
It usually takes about 6-8 hours to complete. You are able to log on and log off as often as you need. This allows you to download the content on your tablet or mobile device to learn on the go without an internet connection. (Quizzes will only upload to the PADI system when you have internet connection)
Don't forget to contact us too, as this is the best time to schedule your pool training and quick review.
Simply stop by and see one of the staff to sign up, or TEXT our training manager Ed Boles at (816) 447-4909.
You may also CALL the shop directly at (816) 525-3487 to schedule.
Space may be limited for each class, so please SIGN UP EARLY and reserve your seat.
Confined water training is where the pool training starts.
Our pool training is held at Longview Community Center's
heated pool facility in Lees Summit, Mo. on the 3rd Saturday of every month.
You will need to attend a short quick review at TD SCUBA on either the Saturday or the Tuesday the week PRIOR TO THE POOL. This lasts approximately 2.5 hours. You will learn how to setup the equipment and review the information you learned online.
You also receive a free professional grade dive mask and snorkel that is yours to keep.
After this, we meet at pool. You will master the skills necessary to dive. Instruction lasts about 6 hours. You will be working with our PADI Professionals to practice these skills and techniques.
Your course fees include all rental equipment, tanks and weights for the pool.
Open Water training is where you will apply your SCUBA skills in an open water environment. You will complete 4 dives, usually over a 2-day period.
TD's exclusive Crystal Lake facility is the closest, clearest, cleanest and warmest dive site near Kansas City.
Your course fees include tanks, weights and a rental BCD.
You will need your own dive boots and fins for this portion of the course.
Student discount equipment packages are available.
Please remember that we will meet or beat online prices from manufacturer authorized online retailers.
If you would like to certify during the cooler months we have heated gear rental available.
You are also invited to join us and get certified in the ocean on one of our fun and amazing
TD Scuba Trips.
